Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m), Transfer to hotel
Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will proceed through custom and visa formalities and then a representative from Himalayan Nepal Trek Pvt. Ltd. will receive you. You will be transferred to the luxurious hotel in Kathmandu with Bed and Breakfast plan. You will get briefing regarding your trek package and then enjoy the delicious meal before spending your night in a hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing
Early in the morning, meet with staffs and get a trip briefing from the guide. You will be provided with half day Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour during which you will visit UNESCO enlisted cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath. Drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and enjoy the views of 55- window palace, Golden Gate, Nyatapol Temple and Pottery Square and return to the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to saule (1,965m)
Panchpokhari trek begins at Chautara. We will pass through few tea houses to Saule which is the pretty tiny village of Tamang ethics. Cross the river over the bridge and follow the ascending trail to Saule. Get the views of Gaurishankar Mountain, Dorjelakpa Mountain and other peaks and mountains.
Day 04: Saule to Kamikharka Danda
Leave Saule early in the morning and follow the ascending trail through the blooming forested ridge. Crossing the forest of pine and blooming rhododendrons, climb to the top of the hill. Enjoy the awe-inspiring views of Jugal Mountain Range, Gaurishankar Mountain, and Dorje Lakpa Mountain. Following the ascending trail, we will arrive at pasture land of Kamikharka Hill.
Day 05: Kamikhara to Chyochyo Danda
Walk through the pasture land of Kami Kharka. It is going to be easy trek as we will be following the plain land. 3 hours of a trek through the forest will take us to Chyochyo Danda. We will reach the top of Chyochyo hill for panoramic views of surrounding mountains.
Day 06: Chyochyo Danda to Hile Bhanjyang (3,800m)
Brief descend from the hill will take us to the river. From the river, we will follow the climbing trail. Walk through a forest of bamboo and rhododendron to the top of small pass known as Hilebhanjyang. There is a small settlement at the top of Hile Bhanjyang. We can get fascinating views of the river valley from Hilebhanjyang.
Day 07: Hile Bhanjyang to Nasempati (3,800m)
After taking breakfast early in the morning, we will follow the ascending trail through the forest of oak and pine. Several local birds like Kalij and other birds can be seen throughout the way. Exiting from the forest, we will arrive at the savanna land from where we can get unobstructed views of Jugal Mountain Range and Gaurishankar Mountain.
Day 08: Nasempati to Panch Pokhari (4,050m)
An easy walk from Nasempati will take us to Panch Pokhari. This is a pond that is sacred to Hindu, Buddhists, and Shamans. Panchpokhari translates as the collection of five lakes. There are five lakes which lie close to each other. We can get views of Jugal Himal Range, Rolwaling Mountain Range and Gosaikunda from Panchpokhari. The great fair is organized at Panchpokhari in August.
Day 09: Panch Pokhari to Gai Kharka (2,530m)
Follow the descending trail from Panch Pokhari and cross the forest of pine, bamboo, and juniper. 5hrs of a trek from Panchpokhari will take us to Gai Kharka where we can see Himalayan cattle grazing in the area.
Day 10: Gai Kharka to Yangri (2,800m)
Move across the meadow of Gai Kharka and climb through the path decorated with prayer flags and Chortens to Yangri. This is the small pretty village of Tamang ethics. Stay overnight at Yangri.
Day 11: Yangri to Tarke Gyang (2,390m)
Early in the morning, reach to the nearby ridge for mountain views and surrounding. Follow the escalating path from Yangri and walk across the forest area to the large settlement of Tarkegyang. Stay overnight at Tarkegyang.
Day 12: Tarke Gyang to Sermathang (2,610m)
Walk through the wide valleys and big and small Sherpa settlements and climb through the forest area to Sermathang. Sermathang is one of the major villages in Helambu region.
Day 13: Sermathang to Malamchipul (880m)
Lower down from Sermathang to Melamchi River. Freshen up at the sparkling cool water from Melamchi River and walk to the Melamchipul. Stay overnight at Melamchipul.
Day 14: Malamchipul to Kathmandu by public vehicle
Drive for 5hrs and we will reach Kathmandu. The trail progresses through rough road at Lamidanda to Kathmandu. Stay overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.
You can spend the day on your own. Go for shopping in Thamel or you can also choose any of the day tour packages. Farewell dinner will be served in the evening with typical Nepali culture.
Day 15: Departure
After last-minute preparation, you will be accompanied to Tribhuvan International Airport 3hours before the scheduled flight. Safe Journey!!! After a brief descent, we will reach Indrawati River. Walking along Indrawati River, we will proceed through crop fields to Dhap which is the Tamang Village. We will stay overnight at Dhap.
The representative will be there outside the Terminal Hall with Himalayan Nepal Trek logo along with your name thereon. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel.
We use a mix of native buses and taxis, non-public minibusses for city sightseeing and airport pickups and generally land cruisers for journeys into the mountains. The selection of auto will depend upon the scale of your group.
We book a hotel as per your preference but basically, we use 3* standard rooms in Kathmandu and Pokhara. We serve you twin sharing rooms and King bed for a couple. We use Lodges throughout the trek with twin bedroom and sharing.
Safety is our first priority; our team puts best effort to minimize the risk. We take care of any emergency that may occur within the path. First aid kit, oxygen bag and eventually emergency rescue via chopper are always ready just in case of an emergency. Besides we manage threat with rest days and our staffs will be there to advise you.
Weather condition may invite the requirement of some equipment like crampons, trekking poles, raincoat etc. So, we tend to request you to carry only need types of equipment. Down jacket, trouser Ti-shirt, boot, knife, walking steak, lightweight bag, sunglass, gloves, suns cream, warm socks, head light, windproof jacket etc.
Common to experience some discomfort before you become absolutely acclimatized to the altitude. Most treks are suitable for anyone who is moderately matched. No previous experience is needed. Some cardiovascular physical fitness programs like regular walking, running, swimming and hiking are necessary to increase the performance. Participants with pre-existing medical condition or diseases should look for a medical recommendation before considering a trek.
