Panch Pokhari Trek is the spiritual journey to the remote place Panch Pokhari Lake ( Pokhara) There are a collection of five adjacent lakes in this region which gives it the name of Panch Pokhari meaning Five Lakes. A great fair is organized each year on Janai Purnima (month of August) in this lake during which devotees from Hinduism and Buddhism visit this pilgrimage site for cleansing sin that they had committed. Panchpokhari lies in the least crowded area. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu TIA (1310m) welcome by Himalayan Nepal Trek staff then Transfer to hotel on BB plan

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Patan, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath etc stay overnight at star label hotel on BB plan.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Saule (1965m) 7/8 hours stay at tent

Day 04: Trek  to Kamikharka Danda (2810m)  6/7 hrs stay at tent

Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m), Transfer to hotel

Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will proceed through custom and visa formalities and then a representative from Himalayan Nepal Trek Pvt. Ltd. will receive you. You will be transferred to the luxurious hotel in Kathmandu with Bed and Breakfast plan. You will get briefing regarding your trek package and then enjoy the delicious meal before spending your night in a hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing

Early in the morning, meet with staffs and get a trip briefing from the guide. You will be provided with half day Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour during which you will visit UNESCO enlisted cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath. Drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and enjoy the views of 55- window palace, Golden Gate, Nyatapol Temple and Pottery Square and return to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to saule (1965m)

Panchpokhari trek begins from Chautara. We will pass through few tea houses to Saule which is the pretty tiny village of Tamang ethics. Cross the river over the bridge and follow the ascending trail to Saule. Get the views of Gaurishankar Mountain, Dorjelakpa Mountain and other peaks and mountains.

Day 04: Saule to Kamikharka Danda

Leave Saule early in the morning and follow the ascending trail through the blooming forested ridge. Crossing the forest of pine and blooming rhododendrons, climb to the top of the hill. Enjoy the awe-inspiring views of Jugal Mountain Range, Gaurishankar Mountain, and Dorje Lakpa Mountain. Following the ascending trail, we will arrive at pasture land of Kamikharka Hill.

Day 05: Kamikhara to Chyochyo Danda

Walk through the pasture land of Kami Kharka. It is going to be easy trek as we will be following the plain land. 3 hours of a trek through the forest will take us to Chyochyo Danda. We will reach the top of Chyochyo hill for panoramic views of surrounding mountains. 

Day 06: Chyochyo Danda to Hile Bhanjyang (3800m)

Brief descend from the hill will take us to the river. From the river, we will follow the climbing trail. Walk through a forest of bamboo and rhododendron to the top of small pass known as Hilebhanjyang. There is a small settlement at the top of Hile Bhanjyang. We can get fascinating views of the river valley from Hilebhanjyang. 

Day 07: Hile Bhanjyang to Nasempati (3800m)

After taking breakfast early in the morning, we will follow the ascending trail through the forest of oak and pine. Several local birds like Kalij and other birds can be seen throughout the way. Exiting from the forest, we will arrive at the savanna land from where we can get unobstructed views of Jugal Mountain Range and Gaurishankar Mountain.

Day 08: Nasempati to Panch Pokhari (4050m)

An easy walk from Nasempati will take us to Panch Pokhari. This is a pond that is sacred to Hindu, Buddhists, and Shamans. Panchpokhari translates as the collection of five lakes. There are five lakes which lie close to each other. We can get views of Jugal Himal Range, Rolwaling Mountain Range and Gosaikunda from Panchpokhari. The great fair is organized at Panchpokhari in August. 

Day 09: Panch Pokhari to Gai Kharka (2530m) 

Follow the descending trail from Panch Pokhari and cross the forest of pine, bamboo, and juniper. 5hrs of a trek from Panchpokhari will take us to Gai Kharka where we can see Himalayan cattle grazing in the area.

Day 10: Gai Kharka to Yangri (2800m)

Move across the meadow of Gai Kharka and climb through the path decorated with prayer flags and Chortens to Yangri. This is the small pretty village of Tamang ethics. Stay overnight at Yangri.

Day 11: Yangri to Tarke Gyang (2390m)

Early in the morning, reach to the nearby ridge for mountain views and surrounding. Follow the escalating path from Yangri and walk across the forest area to the large settlement of Tarkegyang. Stay overnight at Tarkegyang.

Day 12: Tarke Gyang to Sermathang (2610m)

Walk through the wide valleys and big and small Sherpa settlements and climb through the forest area to Sermathang. Sermathang is one of the major villages in Helambu region.

Day 13: Sermathang to Malamchipul (880m)

Lower down from Sermathang to Melamchi River. Freshen up at the sparkling cool water from Melamchi River and walk to the Melamchipul. Stay overnight at Melamchipul.

Day 14: Malamchipul to Kathmandu by public vehicle

Drive for 5hrs and we will reach Kathmandu. The trail progresses through rough road at Lamidanda to Kathmandu. Stay overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.

You can spend the day on your own. Go for shopping in Thamel or you can also choose any of the day tour packages. Farewell dinner will be served in the evening with typical Nepali culture.

Day 15: Departure!!!

After last minute preparation, you will be accompanied to Tribhuvan International Airport 3hours before the scheduled flight. Safe Journey!!! After a brief descent, we will reach Indrawati River. Walking along Indrawati River, we will proceed through crop fields to Dhap which is the Tamang Village. We will stay overnight at Dhap.

AIRPORT PICKUP AND DROP

The representative will be there outside the Terminal Hall with Himalayan Nepal Trek logo along with your name thereon. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel.

TRANSPORTATION

We use a mix of native buses and taxis, non-public mini buses for city sightseeing and airport pickups and generally land cruisers for journeys into the mountains. The selection of auto will depend upon the scale of your group.

ACCOMMODATION

We book a hotel as per your preference but basically, we use 3* standard rooms in Kathmandu and Pokhara. We serve you twin sharing rooms and King bed for a couple. We use Lodges throughout the trek with twin bed room and sharing. 

SAFETY

Safety is our first priority; our team puts best effort to minimize the risk. We take care of any emergency that may occur within the path. First aid kit, oxygen bag and eventually emergency rescue via chopper are always ready just in case of an emergency. Besides we manage threat with rest days and our staffs will be there to advise you.

EQUIPMENT

Weather condition may invite the requirement of some equipment like crampons, trekking poles, raincoat etc. So, we tend to request you to carry only need types of equipment. Down jacket, trouser Ti-shirt, boot, knife, walking steak, lightweight bag, sunglass, gloves, suns cream, warm socks, head light, wind proof jacket etc.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Common to experience some discomfort before you become absolutely acclimatized to the altitude. Most treks are suitable for anyone who is moderately matched. No previous experience is needed. Some cardiovascular physical fitness programs like regular walking, running, swimming and hiking are necessary to increase the performance. Participants with pre-existing medical condition or diseases should look for a medical recommendation before considering a trek.

FOOD DURING THE TREK

CHARGING BATTERY

Electricity will not always be available, particularly in additional remote areas. Carry a second set of charged batteries with you.

COMMUNICATION FACILITIES

During the trek, it’s not possible to get a connection every where but there are certain places throughout the trek wherever you get the surplus over internet and telecommunication. We offer you satellite phone as per your preference. You can use our guide cell phone to communicate if you don't have your own number, they welcome you anytime. 

CREDIT CARDS

You can rely on credit cards in Cities however once we tend to begin trek we solely use the cash. Ensure that you just take spare Nepalese rupees. Dollars, Euros, and Pounds will be accepted.

Visa fees are:

US$ 25/40/100 for 15 days/30 days/90 days multiple entries that are collectible solely in USD money. The maximum number of days should be included in the section about extending a trek.

PORTER SERVICE

15kg of baggage per person and porter carries 30Kg. you need to carry a small day bag with personal belongings, camera, water, windproof jacket, glass and sun cream and rain clothing etc.

We cannot predict the atmospheric condition in the Himalayas, weather pattern keeps on changing through the day.
