Mustang Tiji Festival Trek 2018 

Tiji has derived the word from Tempa Chhirim, considered as “Prayer for world peace”. It is an annual festival celebrated only in Upper Mustang Region of Nepal in the small kingdom of Lomanthang. Tiji festival is celebrated for the victory of Dhorji Sonam(Belief as an incarnation of Buddha), over a demon called MA Tam RU TA, who causes disease, storm, draught and destroy houses, livestock. It is celebrated for three days in Chhyode Gumba. Mask dance of monk is the special attraction during Tiji following Archery and horse riding challenge. According to the locals, the festival brings peace, prosperity and take away the odds.

Day 01: Arrive in TIA, Kathmandu

As you land on Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be received by the representative staff from Himalayan Nepal Trek with proper greeting. Then, afterward you will be transferred to hotel where you will learn the detail itinerary. We can change the set itinerary as per your feasibility. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Setting a practical itinerary today you will see the sights in Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinatha and Boudhanath. These are the historical places which are also listed in World Heritage Sites. So, spending time in such places you will feel glory. Accomplishing the sightseeing you will return to hotel. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 6 hrs

On the following day you will drive to Pokhara, the city of lakes after completing the sightseeing in Kathmandu. Pokhara is the entry way to move into Lower Mustang Trek. Arriving in Pokhara you will drive to hotel and have some rest. In the evening you will set out for some delightful walk. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 04: Flight to Jomsom (2,720m) and trek to Kagbeni (2,810m) 4 hrs

From Pokhara you will take a flight to Jomsom where you can view an electrifying outlook of graceful world’s deepest Kali Gandaki Gorge all along to the bank of Kali Gandaki Valley. You will get pleasure from the eye-catching sceneries of Nilgiri Mountain. Afterward, you will turn up to Kagbeni which is resting at 2,810 meter altitude. Stay overnight in lodge.

Day 05: Trek to Chele (3,050m) 6-7 hrs

Day 06: Trek to Jhite (3,820m) 6-7 hrs

Ascending for a while you will move ahead towards Jhite which is positioned at an elevation of 3,820 meter. It takes 6 to 7 hours to set the miles from Chele to Jhite. In the middle of trek you will stop and then have your lunch. You will walk smoothly and exploring the things that you viewed on the trekking trail. Stay overnight in lodge.

Day 07: Trek to Chrang (3,560m) 6-7 hrs

On the following day you will begin the trek with stimulating walk. Passing Ghaymi Khola and long Mani walls you will arrive at Chrang. Chrang is positioned at an altitude of 3,560 meter where you will get to make out the huge white Dzong and Red Gompa. Spending 6 to 7 hours you will turn up to Chrang. Stay overnight in lodge.

Day 08: Trek to Lo-Manthang (3,810m) 5 hrs start of Tilji Festival

This is the day to set up the trek to Lo- Mangthang with an altitude of 3,810 meter taking 5 hours as trek duration. As you come up to Lo- Mangthang you will be capable to viewpoint Tilicho, Nilgiri, Bhrikuti Peak and Annapurna I. Day 09: Tilji Festival continue and back to Lo-Manthang

Day 10: Last day of Tilji Festival

This is the last day of Tilji Festival where you will try to enjoy the festival as much as you can. Enjoying and observing the festival you will spend 3rd day of Tilji Festival. For the future reference you can take some photos as well. Stay overnight in lodge.

Day 11: Trek back to Ghami (3,765m) 6 hrs

Waking up early in the morning you will head to Ghami which is placed at an altitude of 3,765 meter. You will have your breakfast at Yamda La after passing local villages and chortens which is comparable to the Tibetan style. The time you ascend to Nyi Pass it may take some time then, with descending you will lead to Ghami. It is with these huge barren fields. Stay overnight in lodge.

Day 12: Trek to Chele (3,050m) 6-7 hrs

On the following day you will move from Ghami to Chele as soon as you take the downward move. As you have already spent a night in Chele today you can make the trek more straightforward and delightful despite the fact that you will walk for 6 to 7 hours. Stay overnight in guesthouse.

Day 13: Trek to Jomsom (2,720m) 7-8 hrs

Trekking into the lower part with graceful world’s deepest Kali Gandaki Gorge. Walking forward, you will move all along to the bank of Kali Gandaki Valley. You will get pleasure from the eye-catching sceneries of Nilgiri Mountain. Afterward, you will turn up to Jomsom with numerous upwards and downwards and it takes 7 to 8 hours. Day 14: Flight to Pokhara 25 min and Kathmandu, Farewell dinner

In an early morning you will take a flight to Pokhara leaving Jomsom. Then, again you will ctach another flight that will take you to Kathmandu taking 35 minutes from Pokhara. This will be the joyous adventurous flight. Arriving in TIA you will be picking up and then again transferred to the hotel where you can enjoy the comfortable bed. In the evening you will return to hotel completing the short sightseeing to take part in farewell dinner. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 15: Departure!!!!

Accomplishing 15 days of Nepal trips you will return your home town from TIA. You will be transferred to airport safely and then depart from us.

The representative will be there outside the Terminal Hall with Himalayan Nepal Trek logo along with your name thereon. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel.


We use a mix of native buses and taxis, non-public minibusses for city sightseeing and airport pickups and generally land cruisers for journeys into the mountains. The selection of auto will depend upon the scale of your group.


We book a hotel as per your preference but basically, we use 3* standard rooms in Kathmandu and Pokhara. We serve you twin sharing rooms and King bed for a couple. We use Lodges throughout the trek with twin bedroom and sharing. 


Safety is our first priority; our team puts best effort to minimize the risk. We take care of any emergency that may occur within the path. First aid kit, oxygen bag and eventually emergency rescue via chopper are always ready just in case of an emergency. Besides we manage threat with rest days and our staffs will be there to advise you.


Weather condition may invite the requirement of some equipment like crampons, trekking poles, raincoat etc. So, we tend to request you to carry only need types of equipment. Down jacket, trouser Ti-shirt, boot, knife, walking steak, lightweight bag, sunglass, gloves, suns cream, warm socks, head light, windproof jacket etc.


Common to experience some discomfort before you become absolutely acclimatized to the altitude. Most treks are suitable for anyone who is moderately matched. No previous experience is needed. Some cardiovascular physical fitness programs like regular walking, running, swimming and hiking are necessary to increase the performance. Participants with pre-existing medical condition or diseases should look for a medical recommendation before considering a trek.

During the trek, it’s not possible to get a connection everywhere but there are certain places throughout the trek wherever you get the surplus over internet and telecommunication. We offer you satellite phone as per your preference. You can use our guide cell phone to communicate if you don't have your own number, they welcome you anytime. 


You can rely on credit cards in Cities however once we tend to begin trek we solely use the cash. Ensure that you just take spare Nepalese rupees. Dollars, Euros, and Pounds will be accepted.

US$ 25/40/100 for 15 days/30 days/90 days multiple entries that are collectible solely in USD money. The maximum number of days should be included in the section about extending a trek.
