Mani-Rimdu is celebrated on the tenth lunar Tibetan calendar during the month of November. The festival is celebrated for three days in hilltop of Tengboche Monastery known as Dawa Choling Gompa in Khumjung V.D.C. Mani refers to enchanting prayers of Chenrezig (Lord of Buddhism) and Rimdu is the small red pills distributed for a blessing. We use a mix of native buses and taxis, non-public minibusses for city sightseeing and airport pickups and generally land cruisers for journeys into the mountains. The selection of auto will depend upon the scale of your group.
We book a hotel as per your preference but basically, we use 3* standard rooms in Kathmandu and Pokhara. We serve you twin sharing rooms and King bed for a couple. We use Lodges throughout the trek with twin bedroom and sharing.
Safety is our first priority; our team puts best effort to minimize the risk. We take care of any emergency that may occur within the path. First aid kit, oxygen bag and eventually emergency rescue via chopper are always ready just in case of an emergency. Besides we manage threat with rest days and our staffs will be there to advise you.
Weather condition may invite the requirement of some equipment like crampons, trekking poles, raincoat etc. So, we tend to request you to carry only need types of equipment. Down jacket, trouser Ti-shirt, boot, knife, walking steak, lightweight bag, sunglass, gloves, suns cream, warm socks, head light, windproof jacket etc.
Common to experience some discomfort before you become absolutely acclimatized to the altitude. Most treks are suitable for anyone who is moderately matched. No previous experience is needed. Some cardiovascular physical fitness programs like regular walking, running, swimming and hiking are necessary to increase the performance. Participants with pre-existing medical condition or diseases should look for a medical recommendation before considering a trek.
