Limi Valley Trekking of Humla Region is the rarely visited and mystic but popular destinations for high altitude hiking trails, being there feels like stepping back in time. Due to the isolated location, the villages are very untouched and pure like dazzling water from mountain. In this valley, Century old Buddhist traditions interwoven with shamanic influences are still an important part of daily life. One never knows what to expect and what is next. A narrow valley perched on the banks of Karnali River, ever cheerful people and proximity of the traditional rituals are enough for the life changing experience and better understanding of what cultural diversity really means.
The trekking route includes the ancient salt trading and pilgrimage route to the border of Nepal and Tibet. This is a rather strenuous hike. To be in Limi valley you have to cross two high passes which involve long climbs and long descents. But the unforgettable landscapes, the views from the passes and the contacts with the friendly villagers of the Limi Valley make it wonderful trip.
