Langtang valley is very popular for the botanical trek. It is known as the best trip and tour for the botanical trip. The National park of the Langtang is in the north of central Nepal of Kathmandu. It was designated as the first Himalayan National park in (1970/1971). people of the Langtang valley are mostly depended on park resources for their daily basic.
This trek in Langtang Valley is known as the short and easy trek through the dense forest and along the Langtang river where as the Tamang people influenced by Tibetan culture can be seen here with the Chorten, prayer flags, prayers wheels on the route.
The national flower called Rhododendron trees, in spring with multiple colors rhododendron flowers, can be seen and the red panda only found in Himalaya might be seen here too. It is important for the explorer of bio diversity. There are total eight types of vegetation types belonging to tropical, sub tropical, temperate, alpine zone and sub alpine etc. the most important types of forest are as follows; tropical zone, sub tropical zone, Temperate zone, Alpine zone and sub-Alpine zone.
Day 01: Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival (1310m), Transfer to hotel
Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will proceed through custom and visa formalities and then a representative from Himalayan Nepal Trek Pvt. Ltd. will receive you. You will be transferred to the luxurious hotel in Kathmandu with Bed and Breakfast plan. You will get briefing regarding your trek package and then enjoy the delicious meal before spending your night in a hotel.
Day 02: Drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft): 147/ 7 hrs
After morning breakfast we drive out along the north-western hills of Kathmandu. Enjoy the Himalayan views and mountainous lifestyle through the terraced fields and rustic villages. Take Lunch at the Trishuli Bazar before continuing further to Dhunche. From Dhunche, we descent down to Syabrubesi.
Day 03: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m/7,830ft): 6.30 hrs
This is our first day of trekking today. Follow the Langtang Khola River. Pass through the dense forests. Cross several suspension bridges. We also pass by tea houses. The trail goes up and down but it is not that challenging.
Day 04: Trek to Langtang village (3,430m/11,253ft): 6/7 hr
After taking morning tea, we embark our second day of the journey. Our trail continues along dense forests. After making a steady climb up through the valley, we leave the tree line behind us. Enjoy the marvelous views of Langtang Lirung. Pass by water mills, prayer wheels, Chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them.
Day 05: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft): 3.30 hr
After taking morning tea and breakfast, we get out of the village and pass on through yak pastures. Also pass the largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on them. The prayers written on the main wall is supposed to be blown away by the wind. Cross several of the wooden bridges. Since we are really getting into the high altitudes, you might start feeling the thin air, Gompa. Kanjin Gompa is surrounded by the Himalayas all around. You can take a walk around Kanjin Gompa enjoying the views, glaciers, icefalls, birds, and yaks.
Day 06: Rest day for hiking to Tserko Ri
For the best of the mountain scenery hike to the Tserko Ri early in the morning and have rest in the afternoon visiting Yak Cheese factory and a Buddhist monastery.
Day 07: Trek back to Lama Hotel: 5/6 hrs
After breakfast, proceed to Lama Hotel. Since it's mostly downhill, it is 4/ 5 hours walk from Kanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel. Pass through the ethnic Tamang settlements who follow religious and cultural practices similar to the Tibetans.
Day 08: Trek back to Sybrubensi: 5 hrs
After breakfast, we trek down to Syabrubensi, about 5 hours walk. Enjoy the easy trail mostly downhill through lush green vegetation. Arriving Syabrubesi, we take our lunch.
Day 09: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu O/N Hotel (B.B)
Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu by covering 117km in 8hrs. It is going to be a long but pleasant ride with plenty of scenic natural views of mountains, hills, forest, terraces, waterfalls and much more.
Day 10: Departure
Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination.
