Walk along Hydropower to Chisapani which is the best view point for observing Manaslu, Everest, Langtang, Ganesh and other snow-clad mountains. Walk through Kutumsang to Tharepati village and descend to Melamchi Village. Helambu Valley trek route escalates to Tarkegyang which is the largest village in Helambu Valley. Visit the region’s oldest Monastery and descend through Sermathang to Kakani where the trek ends. Explore the strawberry farm and drive back to Kathmandu.

Helambu Valley trek is one of the easy trekking routes in the hilly region of Trekking in Nepal. Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival TIA (1310m) welcome by Himalayan Nepal Trek staff then  Transfer to hotel on BB plan.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley Patan, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath then stay at hotel on BB plan

Day 03: Kathmandu to Sudarijal 2 hrs Trek to Chisapani (2165m) 3hours stay at Lodge

Day 04: Trek to Kutumsang 6 hrs (2470m) stay at Lodge

Day 05: Trek to Magengoth 4 hrs (3420m) stay at Lodge

Day 06: Trek to Thadepati 4 hrs (3690m) stay at Lodge

Day 07: Trek to Melamchi Village 4hrs (2520m) stay at Lodge

Day 08: Trek to Tarkegyang 5 hrs (2600m) stay at Lodge

Day 09: Trek to Sermathang 5/6 hrs (2590m) stay at Lodge

Day 10: Trek to Kakani 4 hrs (1998m) stay at Lodge

Day 11: Trek down to until Melamchi Bazar then drive to Kathmandu evening dinner with Nepali culture restaurant stay at Hotel on BB plan 

Day 12: Transfer International airport by private vehicle for your departure

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m), Transfer to hotel

Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will proceed through custom and visa formalities and then a representative from Himalayan Nepal Trek Pvt. Ltd. will receive you. You will be transferred to the luxurious hotel in Kathmandu with Bed and Breakfast plan. You will get briefing regarding your trek package and then enjoy the delicious meal before spending your night in a hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Early in the morning, meet with staffs and get a trip briefing from the guide. You will be provided with half day Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour during which you will visit UNESCO enlisted cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath. Drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and enjoy the views of 55- window palace, Golden Gate, Nyatapol Temple and Pottery Square and return to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Sudarijal (2hrs), Trek to Chisapani (2165m)

Leaving Kathmandu, follow the road from Chabahil for about two hours to reach Sundarijal. Helambu Valley Trek begins from Sundarijal. Walk through the stone steps from Sundarijal and reach hydroelectric plant. Walk through Shivpuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve and reach the Tamang village of Mulkharka. Cross the forest of rhododendron to arrive at Chisapani.

Day 04: Chisapani to Kutumsang (6hrs) 2470m

Lower down from Chispani and then take the straight path till you reach pasture land. Walk through the settlement at Pati Bhanjyang to Gul Bhanjyang. Following the ascending trail from Gul Bhanjyang, reach to the other pass (2620m) and descend to Kutumsang for an overnight stay.

Day 05: Kutumsang to Magengoth (4hrs) 3420m

Leave Kutumsang and head north. Follow the ascending trail to Yurin Danda. Descend from the forested ridge and walk through the eroded path before entering the forest. Exiting from the forest, lower down to Magen Goth for the overnight stay.

Day 06: Mangengoth to Thadepati (4hrs) 3690m

Leaving Mangengoth, walk through the sparsely populated land and enter the spruce and rhododendron forest. Reach to the top of the ridge and get awe-inspiring views of Makalu Mountain, Langtang Ri Mountain, and Gosaikunda Mountain and descend to Thadepati/ Tharepati which is a village of mixed ethnic.

Day 07: Thadepati to Melamchi (4hrs) 2520m

Head east from Thadepati and walk along the local school to the Melamchigaon village. Visit the nearby monastery and enjoy overnight stay at Melamchi Village.

Day 08: Melamchi village to Tarkegyang (5hrs) 2600m

Lower down from Melamchigaon to the Melamchi River. Cross the river and climb to the other side at Tarkegyang. Visit the ancient monastery and have overnight stayed at Tarkegyang village.

Day 09: Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (4hrs) 2590m

Leave the largest village in Helambu and follow the easy trail through the meadow. Enter the forest of pine and oak before reaching the Sherpa village of Sermathang. The ridge in Sermathang offers a close-up view of Jugal Mountain Range.

Day 10: Sermathang to Kakani (4hrs) 1998m

About 4hrs of the trek from Sermathang through series of ups and downs will take us to Kakani. Kakani is famous for the strawberry farm. Pass through pretty tiny villages to Kakani. Enjoy the mountain views and have overnight stay.

Day 11: Kakani to Kathmandu

Drive from Kakani to Kathmandu by chasing the swirling road with never-ending curves and bends. Get transferred to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 12: Departure!!!

After last minute preparation, you will be accompanied to Tribhuvan International Airport 3hours before the scheduled flight. Safe Journey!!!

AIRPORT PICKUP AND DROP

The representative will be there outside the Terminal Hall with Himalayan Nepal Trek logo along with your name thereon. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel.

TRANSPORTATION

We use a mix of native buses and taxis, non-public mini buses for city sightseeing and airport pickups and generally land cruisers for journeys into the mountains. The selection of auto will depend upon the scale of your group.

ACCOMMODATION

We book a hotel as per your preference but basically, we use 3* standard rooms in Kathmandu and Pokhara. We serve you twin sharing rooms and King bed for a couple. We use Lodges throughout the trek with twin bed room and sharing. 

SAFETY

Safety is our first priority; our team puts best effort to minimize the risk. We take care of any emergency that may occur within the path. First aid kit, oxygen bag and eventually emergency rescue via chopper are always ready just in case of an emergency. Besides we manage threat with rest days and our staffs will be there to advise you.

EQUIPMENT

Weather condition may invite the requirement of some equipment like crampons, trekking poles, raincoat etc. So, we tend to request you to carry only need types of equipment. Down jacket, trouser Ti-shirt, boot, knife, walking steak, lightweight bag, sunglass, gloves, suns cream, warm socks, head light, wind proof jacket etc.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Common to experience some discomfort before you become absolutely acclimatized to the altitude. Most treks are suitable for anyone who is moderately matched. No previous experience is needed. Some cardiovascular physical fitness programs like regular walking, running, swimming and hiking are necessary to increase the performance. Participants with pre-existing medical condition or diseases should look for a medical recommendation before considering a trek.

FOOD DURING THE TREK

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner each day, as per itinerary, is enclosed. Continental, Nepali and Sherpa food from the menu.

SHOWER IN TREK

Hot shower is available during the trek at your own expense about $5

CHARGING BATTERY

Electricity will not always be available, particularly in additional remote areas. Carry a second set of charged batteries with you.

COMMUNICATION FACILITIES

During the trek, it’s not possible to get a connection every where but there are certain places throughout the trek wherever you get the surplus over internet and telecommunication. We offer you satellite phone as per your preference. You can use our guide cell phone to communicate if you don't have your own number, they welcome you anytime. 

CREDIT CARDS

You can rely on credit cards in Cities however once we tend to begin trek we solely use the cash. Ensure that you just take spare Nepalese rupees. Dollars, Euros, and Pounds will be accepted.

ADDITIONAL CASH PER DAY

15 to 20 US$ every day will be enough to shop for bottles of water, chocolates, gifts and more.

Visa fees are:

US$ 25/40/100 for 15 days/30 days/90 days multiple entries that are collectible solely in USD money. The maximum number of days should be included in the section about extending a trek. 

STAFFS INSURANCE

Our company ensures all of our trekking staff: Guides, Cooks, Sherpa’s and Porters. 

PORTER SERVICE

15kg of baggage per person and porter carries 30Kg. you need to carry a small day bag with personal belongings, camera, water, windproof jacket, glass and sun cream and rain clothing etc.

WEATHER

We cannot predict the atmospheric condition in the Himalayas, weather pattern keeps on changing through the day. Nights are very cold and days are higher primarily trekking in Nepal we tend to recommend during March-May and September- Gregorian calendar month.
