Langtang Ganjala pass trek lies in the north part of Kathmandu, one of the admirable route of the Nepal. Langtang region is too near from the Kathmandu as well as known as the popular trekking destinations for the tourist. However, Ganjala Pass Trek is one of the challenging treks of the Langtang region. This trekking route passes through the dense timber of Langtang National park that offers us diverse species of fauna and flora while including Himalayan Thar, Himalayan black bear, Rhesus monkey, migratory birds as well as the local animal etc.
Accommodation would be tea houses until Kyangjin Gompa but there is no option to camping from Ngegang Kharka until Tarkegyang. Himalayan Nepal Trek is operating Langtang Ganjala Pass Trek itinerary as 16-days package. After a scenic bus ride from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, trekking begins from Syabrubesi. Walk past Lama Hotel and reach Langtang village that lies in one of the most beautiful valleys in the world. Follow the Langtang River. Proceed through Langtang National Park to Kyangjin Gompa monastery. Where, we can observe the factory of the cheese, Tserko RI Peak climb of Langtang Lirung Mountain, others Tibetan Mountains etc. It is the best trekking route in the terms of exploring and to have thrill knowledge. As well as you can be able to views the Langtang mountain range like Tenji Peak, Yangri, Naya Kanga, Yala Gangchemoia d other mountains & peak from the Nepal and Tibet. We will climb Ganja La Pass for awe-inspiring views of Langtang Lirung Mountain, Ganesh Mountain, Langsisa Mountain, Tibetan mountains and Yangri River. Descend to Keldang and walk through Dukpu, Tarkegyang Kiul to and then finally the scenic Ganjala trek will end.
Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival TIA (1310m) welcome by Himalayan Nepal Trek staff then Transfer to hotel on BB plan.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing, meeting with staffs, trip briefing stay at star label hotel on BB plan.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi 8 hours stay at Lodge.
Day 04: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2470m) 5 hours stay at Lodge.
Day 05: Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3541m) 5 hours stay at Lodge.
Day 06: Langtang Village to Kyangjing Gompa (3800m) 3hrs stay at Lodge.
Day 07: Acclimatization Day, climb Kyanjing Ri or Tserko Ri 5/6 hrs stay at Lodge.
Day 08: Hike to Ngegang Kharka (4430m) 5/6 hrs stay at camp.
Day 09: Climb Ganja La Pass (5106m), Descend to Keldang (4270m) 5/6 hrs stay at camp.
Day 10: Keldang to Dukpu (4080m) 9hrs stay at camp.
Day 11: Dukpu to Tarke Gyang (2743m) 7hrs stay at the lodge.
Day 12: Tarke Gyang to Kiul (1280m) 6hrs 5/6 hrs stay at Lodge.
Day 13: Drive to Kathmandu 7hrs stay at star label hotel on BB plan.
Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m)
Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will proceed through custom and visa formalities and then a representative from Himalayan Nepal Trek Pvt. Ltd. will receive you. You will be transferred to the luxurious hotel in Kathmandu with Bed and Breakfast plan. You will get briefing regarding your trek package and then enjoy the delicious meal before spending your night in a hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing, meeting with staffs, trip briefing
Early in the morning, meet with staffs and get a trip briefing from the guide. You will be provided with half day Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour during which you will visit UNESCO enlisted cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath. Drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and enjoy the views of 55- window palace, Golden Gate, Nyatapol Temple and Pottery Square and return to the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi/ Syabrubesi 8 hours
Leave Kathmandu and head north- west. Drive along Rani Ban (Queen Forest) and pursue the slithering road with views of forested hills, strawberry farms, and mountains. Stop by Trishuli Bazaar for lunch. Follow gravel road to Dhunche. Continue further to Syabrubesi for an overnight stay.
Day 04: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2470m) 5 hours
Langtang Valley trek begins on the 3rd day. Follow the descending trail from Syabrubesi and walk along moraines to Ghopche Khola. Cross the suspension bridge to reach landslide area. Walking cautiously from the area, head towards Rimche (2400m). Cross bamboo woods and arrive at Lama Hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 05: Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3541m) 5 hours
Cross the maples, pine, and rhododendron forest. Enjoy the bird view. Exiting from the forest, reach Gumanchok (2800m). Following the ascending trail, arrive at Ghora Tabela (2970m). Lower down to Thangshyap (3140m) and continue walking to Langtang Village. The Headquarter of Langtang National Park is located in Langtang village. Enjoy the view of Langtang Lirung Mountain.
Day 06: Langtang Village to Kyangjing Gompa (3800m) 3hrs
A couple of hours of ascending from Langtang Valley will take us to Sindum and Yamphu villages. Walking past tiny Yamphu village, we will cross Laja River and climb the ridge. Enjoy scenic views of Kyanjin Gompa and icefall from Lirung and Kinshung and lower down to Kyanjin Gompa monastery (3900m).
Day 07: Acclimatization Day, climb Kyanjing Ri or Tserko Ri
A day of rest at Kyangjin Gompa is recommended before retracing the route back to Syabrubesi. You can visit a government operated cheese factory. Next alternative is to climb Tserkuri/ Tserko Ri. The scenic peak offers views of Langtang Ri, Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Lirung and other peaks and mountains from Tibet and Nepal. Next alternative is to climb Kyangjin Ri.
Day 08: Hike to Ngegang Kharka (4430m)
Begin to walk from Langtang River. Climb from the river to the top of the hill. Traverse the forest of rhododendron and juniper and arrive at Ngegang Kharka. This is the land of meadow which is used as grazing area by local cattle during the winter season. Enjoy the vast expanse of meadow and proceed through Ngegang Kharka to the base of Ganja La Pass.
Day09: Climb Ganja La Pass (5106m), Descend to Keldang (4270m)
This is the most difficult part of the trek. Conquer the Ganjala Pass by climbing through the steep slopes. The route is scenic with decorated prayer flags. Ascend the snowy slope and reach the top of Ganjala Pass. Enjoy the view of northern Langtang range and other surrounding mountains of Nepal and Tibet and descend to Yangri Khola Valley. We will cross the meadow before reaching Keldang.
Day 10: Keldang to Dukpu (4080m) 9hrs
Early in the morning after breakfast, we will Leave Keldang and take the lowering route. Moving through few ascending and descending trails, we will pass through sporadic villages and enter the valley. Continuing to walk further, we will reach the tiny village of Dukpu.
Day 11: Dukpu to Tarke Gyang (2743m) 7hrs
We will leave Dukpu and choose the descending trail. We will arrive at the top of the small pass in a couple of hours. Enjoying the views of mountains and surrounding, we will descend from the pass and traverse the spruce and rhododendron forest to reach Tarke Gyang. This is a village of Sherpa ethics.
Day 12: Tarke Gyang to Kiul (1280m) 6hrs
Descending from Tarkegyang, we will follow the trail that stretches along the eastern side of the valley. Traverse the forest area and walk along a path lined with shortens and mani walls to arrive at Kakani. Brief descend from Kakani will lead us to Kiul.
Day 13: Kiul to Kathmandu by bus (1310m) 6hrs Evening farewell dinner in Nepali typical restaurant with cultural dance over night at Hotel on BB plan
Day 14: Departure!!!
After last minute preparation, you will be accompanied to Tribhuvan International Airport 3hours before the scheduled flight. Safe Journey!!!
The representative will be there outside the Terminal Hall with Himalayan Nepal Trek logo along with your name thereon. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel.
We use a mix of native buses and taxis, non-public mini buses for city sightseeing and airport pickups and generally land cruisers for journeys into the mountains. The selection of auto will depend upon the scale of your group.
We book a hotel as per your preference but basically, we use 3* standard rooms in Kathmandu and Pokhara. We serve you twin sharing rooms and King bed for a couple. We use Lodges throughout the trek with twin bed room and sharing.
Safety is our first priority; our team puts best effort to minimize the risk. We take care of any emergency that may occur within the path. First aid kit, oxygen bag and eventually emergency rescue via chopper are always ready just in case of an emergency. Besides we manage threat with rest days and our staffs will be there to advise you.
Weather condition may invite the requirement of some equipment like crampons, trekking poles, raincoat etc. So, we tend to request you to carry only need types of equipment. Down jacket, trouser Ti-shirt, boot, knife, walking steak, lightweight bag, sunglass, gloves, suns cream, warm socks, head light, wind proof jacket etc.
Common to experience some discomfort before you become absolutely acclimatized to the altitude. Most treks are suitable for anyone who is moderately matched. No previous experience is needed. Some cardiovascular physical fitness programs like regular walking, running, swimming and hiking are necessary to increase the performance. Participants with pre-existing medical condition or diseases should look for a medical recommendation before considering a trek.

We offer you satellite phone as per your preference. You can use our guide cell phone to communicate if you don't have your own number, they welcome you anytime.
You can rely on credit cards in Cities however once we tend to begin trek we solely use the cash. Ensure that you just take spare Nepalese rupees. Dollars, Euros, and Pounds will be accepted.
