Ganesh Himal Trek is a pleasant journey through the less crowded area to one of the holy mountains in Nepal. Located North West of Kathmandu in between Manaslu Range and Budhi Gandaki Valley, Ganesh Mountain Range comprises Ganesh I Mountain, Ganesh II Mountain, Ganesh III Mountain and Ganesh IV Mountain. Base Camp of Ganesh Himal springs to life especially in spring with views of wildflowers including Rhododendron and Orchids. Ganesh Himal trekking route progresses through wilderness and scenic Tamang villages. There is a vast stretch of paddy fields, emerald hills, gorges and forests that are rich in wildlife including 526 species of floras, 300 species of birds and wild animals like Thar, Gaur and Musk Deer.

After driving from Kathmandu to Betrawati Bazaar, we will begin our trek and pass through Singala pass and Pangsang Bhanjyang to Jaisal Kunda Lake. Lower down to Jyamrung village and cross the Rhododendron forest to reach Bhalche. Climb the trail to the Tamang village of Rupchet. Ganesh Himal Trek Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival TIA (1,310m) welcome by Himalayan Nepal Trek staff then Transfer to Hotel on BB plan.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley Patan, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath then stay at a hotel on BB plan.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Betrawati (800m), trek to Chapdanda (1,220m) 5/6 hrs stay at the tent.

Day 04: Chapdannda to Bhalche (2,020m) 5/5 hrs stay at the tent.

Day 05: Bhalche to Gonga (2800m) 5/6 hrs stay at the tent.

Day 06: Gonga to Rupchet (3,720m) 5/6 hrs stay at the tent.

Day 07: Acclimatization Day stay at the tent.

Day 08: Ripchet to Phedi (3,545m) via Singla Bhanjyang (4750m) 5/6 hrs stay at the tent.

Day 09: Phedi to Pansang Bhanjyang (4000m) 5/6 hrs stay at the tent.

Day 16: Lapang to Khahare (900m)6/7 hrs stay at the tent.

Day 17: Khahare to Arughat (700m) 4/5 stay at a tent.

Day 18: Drive from Arughat to Kathmandu evening dinner with Nepali culture restaurant stay at star label  hotel on BB plan

Day 19: Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to hotel

Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will proceed through custom and visa formalities and then a representative from Himalayan Nepal Trek Pvt. Ltd. will receive you. You will be transferred to the luxurious hotel in Kathmandu with Bed and Breakfast plan. You will get briefing regarding your trek package and then enjoy the delicious meal before spending your night in a hotel. 

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

Early in the morning, you will be provided with half day Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour during which you will visit UNESCO enlisted cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath. Drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and enjoy the views of 55- window palace, Golden Gate, Nyatapol Temple and Pottery Square and return to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Betrawati (800m), trek to Chapdanda (1220m)

Heading north, we will leave Kathmandu and follow the paved road along Queen Forest (Rani Ban) and famous Kakani hill station to Trishuli Bazaar that is located nearby Trishuli Electricity Dam. A bit far from Trishuli Bazaar is scenic Betrawati Bazaar. Trek begins at Betrawati. Follow the trail for 2hrs to reach hillside village of Chapdanda where we will stay overnight at camp.

Day 04: Chapdannda to Bhalche (2020m)

After taking breakfast, walk through terraced slopes and climb further to dispersed villages. Pass through the Buddhist Stupa and climb further to the top from where one can get an awe-inspiring view of Betrawati Village. Move further to Satdobato and then pass through few stone villages and water driven grinding mills to Bhalche from where we can get spectacular sunset view at camp.

Day 05: Bhalche to Gonga (2800m)

Follow the escalating trail through terraced fields and enter the forest area. Traverse the blooming rhododendron forest to reach the small town of Gonga. Existing at the pass which separates Nyam Valley from Saptang Valley, Gonga offers scenic views of mountains.

Day 06: Gonga to Rupchet (3720m)

Leaving Gonga early in the morning, traverse the rhododendron and fir forest and take the steep climb to the meadow of Rupchet. Enjoy the sunset views of Langtang Himal and Gosaikunda from Rupchet. This is the base camp for climbing Shingla pass. Stay overnight in a camp.

Day 07: Acclimatization Day

We will take rest from Ganesh Himal trek on this day. It helps us to get acclimatized to the increasing altitude. Explore the surrounding near Rupchet Kharka and return to the camp for overnight stay.

Day 08: Ripchet to Phedi (3545m) via Singla Bhanjyang (4750m)

We will take the difficult ascent of Singla Bhanjyang and reach the summit in about 2and half hours. Enjoy the views of Langtang, Ganesh and Manaslu mountains. Descend from Singla Bhanjyang to the forest area of Phedi. 

Day 09: Phedi to Pansang Bhanjyang (4000m)

Move through series of ups and downs to Pansang La or Pansang Bhanjyang. Existing to the southwest of Somdang village, the top of Pinsang La offers astounding views of Langtang Ri, Ganesh Himal Range, Manaslu Mountain Range, Paldor Peak and Tibetan mountains.

Day 10: Rest and hike around Pansang Bhanjyang

A day of rest is recommended at Pansang Bhanjyang. This place is full of amazing sceneries and it will also help us to rejuvenate from tiring trek. Explore around Pansang La for amazing mountain views and surrounding.

Day 11: Pansang Bhanjyang to Tipling (2500m)

Lower down from Pansang Bhanjyang and move through forest area to the big Tamang Village of Tipling. Visit the local Buddhist Gompa in Tipling. Shamanism is commonly practiced in this village. Witness the Mendo Maya and Paru Dance.

Day 12: Tipling to Sertung (2050m)

Leaving Tipling, we will lower down to Gorkhen River. Crossing Gorkhen River over the suspension bridge, we will take the escalating trail to reach Sertung which is a village of Gurung ethics. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

Day 13: Sertung to Sapchet (1500m)

Choose the escalating path from Sertung to the top of small hill. Enjoy the view of Ganesh Mountain and the surrounding. Follow the lowering trail and move through terraces to Sapchet village.

Day 14: Sapchet to Darkha (1250m)

Leave Sapchet and follow the ascending trail to Darkha. The trail is scenic with views of Ganesh Mountain, Manaslu Mountain, Jugal Mountain and other peaks and mountains. Darkha is the first Brahmin village that we will reach during this trek.

Day 15: Darkha to Lapang (1000m)

Early in the morning, we will leave our campsite at Darkha and then undergo few ups and downs through dispersed settlements. Proceed through the terraced field with scenic natural views to Lapang.

Day 16: Lapang to Khahare (900m)

Lower down from Lapang and walk along the river bank of Trishuli to reach Khahare village. Explore the market area and enjoy the scenic views of farms and terraces. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 17: Khahare to Arughat (700m)

Leave Khahare village early in the morning after breakfast and undergo series of ups and downs till we reach Arughat Bazar. Explore the market area of Arughat Bazaar.

Day 18: Arughat to Khanchok (1448m)

6hrs of a trek from Arughat Bazaar will take us to Khanchok village where we will stay overnight.

Day 19: Khanchok to Gorkha Durbar (1143m)

After lowering down for a brief period, we will take the ascending trail to reach Gorkha Durbar. Visit the historical Gorkha Durbar which was the birthplace of King Prithvi Narayan Shah- the unifier of Nepal.

Day 20: Drive from Gorkha to Kathmandu 6hrs

Return from Gorkha to Kathmandu by taking the scenic trip with views of Trishuli River, mountains and cable car at Manakamana temple. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 21: Free Day in Kathmandu, evening dinner with Nepali culture

You can spend the day on your own. Go for shopping in Thamel or you can also choose any of the day tour packages. Farewell dinner will be served in the evening with typical Nepali culture.

Day 22: Departure!!!

After last minute preparation, you will be accompanied to Tribhuvan International Airport 3hours before the scheduled flight. Safe Journey!!!

The representative will be there outside the Terminal Hall with Himalayan Nepal Trek logo along with your name thereon. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel.


We use a mix of native buses and taxis, non-public minibusses for city sightseeing and airport pickups and generally land cruisers for journeys into the mountains. The selection of auto will depend upon the scale of your group.


We book a hotel as per your preference but basically, we use 3* standard rooms in Kathmandu and Pokhara. We serve you twin sharing rooms and King bed for a couple. We use Lodges throughout the trek with twin bedroom and sharing. 


Safety is our first priority; our team puts best effort to minimize the risk. We take care of any emergency that may occur within the path. First aid kit, oxygen bag and eventually emergency rescue via chopper are always ready just in case of an emergency. Besides we manage threat with rest days and our staffs will be there to advise you.


Weather condition may invite the requirement of some equipment like crampons, trekking poles, raincoat etc. So, we tend to request you to carry only need types of equipment. Down jacket, trouser Ti-shirt, boot, knife, walking steak, lightweight bag, sunglass, gloves, suns cream, warm socks, head light, windproof jacket etc.


Common to experience some discomfort before you become absolutely acclimatized to the altitude. Most treks are suitable for anyone who is moderately matched. No previous experience is needed. Some cardiovascular physical fitness programs like regular walking, running, swimming and hiking are necessary to increase the performance. Participants with pre-existing medical condition or diseases should look for a medical recommendation before considering a trek.

Electricity will not always be available, particularly in additional remote areas. Carry a second set of charged batteries with you.


During the trek, it’s not possible to get a connection everywhere but there are certain places throughout the trek wherever you get the surplus over internet and telecommunication. We offer you satellite phone as per your preference. You can use our guide cell phone to communicate if you don't have your own number, they welcome you anytime. 


You can rely on credit cards in Cities however once we tend to begin trek we solely use the cash. Ensure that you just take spare Nepalese rupees. Dollars, Euros, and Pounds will be accepted.

Visa fees are:

US$ 25/40/100 for 15 days/30 days/90 days multiple entries that are collectible solely in USD money. The maximum number of days should be included in the section about extending a trek.

15kg of baggage per person and porter carries 30Kg. you need to carry a small day bag with personal belongings, camera, water, windproof jacket, glass and sun cream and rain clothing etc.


We cannot predict the atmospheric condition in the Himalayas, weather pattern keeps on changing through the day.
