Everest Gokyo Trek itinerary:

Day 01: Pick up at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu (1,310 m), transfer to hotel (BB plan).

Day 02: Flight to Lukla 35 min, trek to Phakding (2,610 m) 4hrs, overnight at Lodge.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 5hrs, overnight at Lodge.

Day 04: Rest and acclimatization day at Namche Bazar, overnight at Lodge.

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m) 6-7hrs overnight at Lodge.

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4,410m) 5-6hrs overnight at Lodge.

Day 07: Trek to Lobuche (4,930m) 5-6hrs overnight at Lodge.

Day 08: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and back to Gorakshep (5,140m), overnight at Lodge, 6hrs.

Day 09: Hike to Kalapatthar (5,545m), trek to Dzongla (4,830 m) 6-7hrs, overnight at Lodge.

Day 16: Sightseeing (UNESCO world heritage site) in Kathmandu, overnight at Hotel(BB Plan).

Trekking in Nepal: Himalaya destinations 


Day 01: Arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (1,310m)

As you land on Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be received by the representative staff from Himalayan Nepal Trek. Then, afterward, you will be transferred to hotel where you will learn the detailed itinerary as well regarding city sightseeing. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Flight to Lukla 35 min, trek to Phakding (2,610m) 4 hrs

On the following day, you will catch a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla which consumes 35 minutes. From Lukla, you will head to Phakding (2,610 m). The trip begins after ascending the slope on the left bank of Dudh Koshi River. Meanwhile, you will view the magnificent beauty of Kusum Kangaru, Mt Kwondge and on the way, you passed a few tea houses and Mani walls. Stay overnight in Phakding.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 6 hrs

Next day we trek to Namche (3,440m) 6 hours of trek. Taking slight rise from Jhorsalle, the trail crosses a waterfall. All through the day, you will cross the villages with forests of Rhododendron, giant fir trees, and magnolia. On the way, you will be rewarded with the first glimpse of Kusum Kanguru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8,848 m) and Nuptse (7879 m) than a vertical climb to the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440m) after crossing suspension bridge between the trekking. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar,

Day 04: Rest and acclimatization day

Perfect place to take a rest and adopt the altitude beside there are ample of things to do around Namche Bazaar. Government offices, shops, restaurants, ATMs, Internet cafes and a bright market make this place center for Everest region.  Today we go to see one of the magnificent views of the whole trek i.e. sunrise having views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde Lhotse, Nuptse and so on. After the breakfast, we hike up to the Everst view point and lunch break at Khumjung valley and back to Namche.

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m) 6-7hrs

Trek to Tengboche (3,860m) which takes 6 to 7 hours. In addition, you will get to see the outstanding monastery and Himalaya like Kwangde, Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kategna, and Thamserku. Stay overnight in Tengboche. One of the most interesting highlights of this trek is Rhododern forest on this day.

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4,410m) 5-6hrs

Trek to Dingboche (4,410m). Dingboche is the ideal location from where you can outlook downward valley with mountains like Amadablam, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu etc. Stay overnight in Dingboche.

Day 07: Trek to Lobuche (4,930m) 5-6hrs

Today you will keep on your trip all the way through the Alpine region. On the way to Lobuche (4,940m), you will be crossing the ice-covered river in Thukla glacier and scale up the hill to observe the splendid view of the Cholatse, Lobuche, Nuptse, and Pumori. It takes 5 to 6 hours to end the Lobuche Trek. Stay overnight in Lobuche.

Day 08: Trek to Gorakshep (5,140m) 4-5 hrs

Today we trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and back to Gorakshep. Today’s trek demands early walk, as you will move to Gorakshep from Lobuche you will go after the narrow space that stuck amid the moraine of the glacier and the wall. After that, you will cross the tributary of mountain glaciers to the dried out lake bed recognized as Gorakshep (5,140m).

Day 09: Ascend to Kala Patthar (5,545m)

Early hike, all the way up to Kalapatthar (5,545m) 3 hours. As you reached the top you will be delighted with views of Everest, Khumbase, Mt Cho-you, Pumari, Khumbu Glacier and so on with beautiful sun rays making mountains shine like gold. Then you will trek downward towards Dzongla. Stay overnight in Dzongla.

Day 10: Trek via Cho La Pass (5,368m) trek down to Thangna (4,700m) 6-7hrs

On the following day, you will begin the trek following the trails of Cho La Pass which is situated at an elevation of 5,368m. Then, you will again trek down to Thangna 4,700m. Stay overnight in Thangna.

Day 11: Trek to Gokyo (4,790m) 5hrs

Trek to Gokyo lake 4,790m and it takes almost 5 hours to reach there. Gokyo is well-known as the 3rd lake where you can experience awe-inspiring vistas of Cho-Oyu. Enjoying the lunch you will travel around the Lake, Dudh Pokhari. Stay overnight in Gokyo.

Day 12: Ascend to Gokyo Ri (5,357m) and trek down to Machhermo (4,470m) 6-7hrs

Trek to the pinnacle of Gokyo Ri, you will be rewarded with several amazing sceneries. The noticeable viewpoint of dramatic Gokyo Valley, huge Ngozumpa Glacier and panoramic observation of Khumbu Himalayas like Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Cho-Oyu are the basic attractions. In the afternoon you will trek down to Machhermo (4,470m). Stay overnight in Machhermo.

Day 13: Trek to Namche (3,440m) 6-7hrs

On the following day, you will trek back to Namche (3,440m) taking 6 to 7 hours of time frame. Arriving in Namche you will visit the local shops from where you can buy the local handicrafts crafted by the natives. You can too enjoy the cultures of Sherpa people and their daily activities. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 14: Trek to Lukla (2,827m) 4-5hrs

Trek to Lukla (2,827m) in about 6-7 hours from Namche Bazaar. The weather of Lukla cannot forecast so more often the trekking companies include an additional day for Lukla. But you are set out in a proper season you might be lucky to travel out on the same day. Stay overnight in Lukla.

Day 15: Flight to Kathmandu (1,310m) and farewell dinner

In an early morning, you will take a flight to Kathmandu taking 35 minutes from Lukla Airport. After we arrive at the airport you will be transferred to the hotel where you can enjoy the comfortable bed. In the evening you will return to hotel completing the short sightseeing to take part in farewell dinner. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 16: Departure

Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination.

The representative will be there outside the Terminal Hall with Himalayan Nepal Trek logo along with your name thereon. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel.


We use a mix of native buses and taxis, non-public minibusses for city sightseeing and airport pickups and generally land cruisers for journeys into the mountains. The selection of auto will depend upon the scale of your group.


We book a hotel as per your preference but basically, we use 3* standard rooms in Kathmandu and Pokhara. We serve you twin sharing rooms and King bed for a couple. We use Lodges throughout the trek with twin bedroom and sharing. 


Safety is our first priority; our team puts best effort to minimize the risk. We take care of any emergency that may occur within the path. First aid kit, oxygen bag and eventually emergency rescue via chopper are always ready just in case of an emergency. Besides we manage threat with rest days and our staffs will be there to advise you.


Weather condition may invite the requirement of some equipment like crampons, trekking poles, raincoat etc. So, we tend to request you to carry only need types of equipment. Down jacket, trouser Ti-shirt, boot, knife, walking steak, lightweight bag, sunglass, gloves, suns cream, warm socks, head light, windproof jacket etc.


Common to experience some discomfort before you become absolutely acclimatized to the altitude. Most treks are suitable for anyone who is moderately matched. No previous experience is needed. Some cardiovascular physical fitness programs like regular walking, running, swimming and hiking are necessary to increase the performance. Participants with pre-existing medical condition or diseases should look for a medical recommendation before considering a trek.


Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner each day, as per itinerary, is enclosed. Continental, Nepali and Sherpa food from the menu.

Electricity will not always be available, particularly in additional remote areas. Carry a second set of charged batteries with you.


During the trek, it’s not possible to get a connection everywhere but there are certain places throughout the trek wherever you get the surplus over internet and telecommunication. We offer you satellite phone as per your preference. You can use our guide cell phone to communicate if you don't have your own number, they welcome you anytime. 


You can rely on credit cards in Cities however once we tend to begin trek we solely use the cash. Ensure that you just take spare Nepalese rupees. Dollars, Euros, and Pounds will be accepted.

Visa fees are:

US$ 25/40/100 for 15 days/30 days/90 days multiple entries that are collectible solely in USD money. The maximum number of days should be included in the section about extending a trek. 


Our company ensures all of our trekking staff: Guides, Cooks, Sherpa’s and Porters. 


15kg of baggage per person and porter carries 30Kg. you need to carry a small day bag with personal belongings, camera, water, windproof jacket, glass and sun cream and rain clothing etc.


We cannot predict the atmospheric condition in the Himalayas, weather pattern keeps on changing through the day. Nights are very cold and days are higher primarily trekking in Nepal we tend to recommend during March-May and September- Gregorian calendar month.
