Everest Gokyo trek is one of the most adorable trekking destination in Everest region, recognized for the series of beautiful lakes in the Gokyo valley and the famous Cho La Pass 5,330m, takes us through the series of mountain landmark of the Khumbu region. The trek also awards us with great views of the Khumbu Icefall.  Everest Gokyo trek is blend of Everest base camp trek and Gokyo lake trek which is opportunity for those travelers who want to experience both the trek in one itinerary.

Everest Gokyo trek is one of the demanding trekking routes because of its unique landmark and rocky trails, despite of having demanding route Everest Gokyo trek rewards with four of the world's eight highest peaks: Everest (8,850m), Makalu (8,463m), Lhotse (8,516m) and Cho Oyu (8,201m). Sights of other mountains like Nuptse, Amadablam, Pumori, Thamsherku ets gives you the pleasure to experience land of Himalayas and provides you with atmosphere of mountain along the trek.  Furthermore attractions are People, traditional Sherpa villages, Buddhist cultures and traditions, festivals, monasteries, flora and fauna.

16 Days Outline Itinerary fro Everest Gokyo Trek

Day 01: Arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu 1,310m welcome by Himalayan Nepal Trek then direct transfer to Hotel
Day 02: Fly to Lukla 35 min, trek to Phakding (2,610m) 4hrs stay at Lodge
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 5hrs stay at Lodge
Day 04: Rest and acclimatization day at Namche Bazar stay at Lodge
Day 05:  Trek to Tengboche (3,860m) 6-7hrs stay at Lodge
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4,410m) 5-6hrs stay at Lodge
Day 07: Trek to Lobuche (4,930m) 5-6hrs stay at Lodge
Day 08: Trek to Gorakshep (5,140m) 4-5hrs, trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and back to Gorakshep stay at Lodge

Day 10:  Trek via Cho La Pass (5,368m) trek down to Thangna (4,700m) 6-7hrs stay at Lodge
Day 11:  Trek to Gokyo (4,790m) 5hrs stay at Lodge
Day 12: Ascend to Gokyo Ri (5,357m) and trek down to Machhermo (4,470m) 6-7hrs stay at Lodge
Day 13:  Trek to Namche (3,440m) 6-7hrs stay at Lodge
Day 14: Trek to Lukla (2,827m) 5-6hrs stay at Lodge

Particular season for trekking is in-between March-May and September- November.  March – May which is spring season is highly recommended, weather is clean and favorable, we can see flowers like rhododendron and more Beside Himalayan Nepal trek welcomes you anytime.
Accommodation depends on trek type, weather tea house trek or camping trek we understand the value of comfort of our clients, we put our best to get the best accommodation based on availability since during main season route are very busy and full of tourist. Twin sharing bed will be provided during trek and also can find attach bathroom with charge extra.

Kathmandu; different cuisine as there are many international and continental restaurants. Thamail and Durbarmarg are very famous for Korean, Thai, Japanese and Italian, Nepali Dal Bhat and more. But during the trek we get to select continental, Nepali and Sherpa food from the menu.

Objective of sustaining local communities, Himalayan Nepal Trek only employs  staff who has adequate knowledge about culture, ecosystem, flora, fauna, geography, and history of their local regions.
Equipment is mainly required of adventure sports, peak climbing and high passes but some times due to weather condition we might need some of the equipments like crampons, trekking poles, raincoat, water bottle etc.  So, we request you to carry only need equipments. Equipments include down jacket, trouser Ti-shirt, boot, knife, walking steak, light sleeping bag, sunglass, gloves, suns cream, warm socks, head light, wind proof jacket etc. we provide our staff with their need able equipments. for the safety and security.

Safety is our first priority; our team puts best effort to keep us away from danger. We are always ready to take control over any emergency that might occur in the trail. First aid kit, oxygen bag and eventually emergency rescue via helicopter are always ready in case of an emergency. Besides we also focus on prevention method to control threat, Acclimatization days Gamow bags can be very useful in the trekso that we can prevent from altitude sickness.

Experience required:
Trekking in Himalayas does require certain level of physical fitness and good health. We suggest you to undergo certain exercise like jogging and stretching before you arrive here. Participants having medical health issue are requested to visit the doctor.
Days in itinerary are always flexible. The service we provide will be according to guest desire so guest has any query can question us without hesitation. Trekking in Himalayas is challenging, there might be unexpected health problem or natural challenges in middle of the trek,In such case guest are requested to co-operate their guides.
Recommended Trek :


Day 01: Arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (1,310m)

As you land on Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be received by the representative staff from Himalayan Nepal Trek. Then, afterward you will be transferred to hotel where you will learn the detail itinerary aswell regarding city sightseeing. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Flight to Lukla 35 min, trek to Phakding (2,610m) 4 hrs
On the following day you will catch flight from Kathmandu to Lukla which consumes 35 minutes. From Lukla you will head to Phakding (2,610 m). The trip begins after ascending the slope on the left bank of Dudh Koshi River. Meanwhile you will view the magnificent beauty of Kusum Kangaru, Mt Kwondge and on the way you passed a few tea houses and Mani walls. Stay overnight in Phakding.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 6 hrs
Next day we trek to Namche (3,440m) 6 hours of trek. Taking slight rise from Jhorsalle, the trail crosses a waterfall. All through the day, you will cross the villages with forests of Rhododendron, giant fir trees and magnolia. On the way you will be rewarded with the first glimpse of Kusum Kanguru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8,848 m) and Nuptse (7879 m) then a vertical climb to the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440m) after crossing suspension bridge between the trek. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar,

Day 04: Rest and acclimatization day
Perfect place to take a rest and adopt the altitude beside there are ample of things to do around Namche Bazaar. Government offices, shops, restaurants, ATMs, Internet cafes and a bright market make this place center for Everest region.  Today we go to see one of the magnificent views of whole trek i.e. sunrise having views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde Lhotse, Nuptse and so on. After the breakfast we hike up to Everst view point and lunch break at Khumjung valley and back to Namche.

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m) 6-7hrs
Trek to Tengboche (3,860m) which takes 6 to 7 hours. In addition you will get to see the outstanding monastery and Himalaya like Kwangde, Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kategna and Thamserku. Stay overnight in Tengboche. One of the most interesting highlights during this trek is Rhododern forest on this day.

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4,410m) 5-6hrs
Trek to Dingboche (4,410m). Dingboche is the ideal location from where you can outlook downward valley with mountains like Amadablam, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu etc. Stay overnight in Dingboche.

Day 07: Trek to Lobuche (4,930m) 5-6hrs
Today you will keep on your trip all the way through the Alpine region. On the way to Lobuche (4,940m), you will be crossing the ice-covered river in Thukla glacier and scale up the hill to observe the splendid view of the Cholatse, Lobuche, Nuptse and Pumori. It takes 5 to 6 hours to end the Lobuche trek. Stay overnight in Lobuche.

Day 08: Trek to Gorakshep (5,140m) 4-5 hrs
Today we trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and back to Gorakshep. Today’s trek demands early walk, as you will move to Gorakshep from Lobuche you will go after the narrow space that stuck amid the moraine of glacier and the wall. After that you will cross the tributary of mountain glaciers to the dried out lake bed recognized as Gokrak Shep (5,140m).

Day 09: Ascend to Kala Patthar (5,545m)
Early hike, all the way up to Kalapatthar (5,545m) 3 hours. As you reached on the top you will be delighted with views of Everest, Khumbase, Mt Chho-yu, Pumari, Khumbu Glacier and so on with beautiful sun rays making mountains shine like gold. Then you will trek downward towards Dzongla. Stay overnight in Dzongla.

Day 10: Trek via Cho La Pass (5,368m) trek down to Thangna (4,700m) 6-7hrs
On the following day you will begin the trek following the trails of Cho La Pass which is situated at elevation of 5,368m. Then, you will again trek down to Thangna 4,700m. Stay overnight in Thangna.

Day 11: Trek to Gokyo (4,790m) 5hrs
Trek to Gokyo lake 4,790m and it takes almost 5 hours to reach there. Gokyo is well-known as the 3rd lake where you can experience awe-inspiring vistas of Cho-Oyu. Enjoying the lunch you will travel around the Lake, Dudh Pokhari. Stay overnight in Gokyo.

Day 12: Ascend to Gokyo Ri (5,357m) and trek down to Machhermo (4,470m) 6-7hrs
Trek to the pinnacle of Gokyo Ri, you will be rewarded with several amazing sceneries. Noticeable viewpoint of dramatic Gokyo Valley, huge Ngozumpa Glacier and panoramic observation of Khumbu Himalayas like Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and Cho-Oyu are the basic attractions. In the afternoon you will trek down to Machhermo (4,470m). Stay overnight in Machhermo.

Day 13: Trek to Namche (3,440m) 6-7hrs
On the following day you will trek back to Namche (3,440m) taking 6 to 7 hours of time frame. Arriving in Namche you will visit the local shops from where you can buy the local handicrafts crafted by the natives. You can too enjoy the cultures of Sherpa people and their daily activities. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 14: Trek to Lukla (2,827m) 4-5hrs
Trek to Lukla (2,827m) in about 6-7 hours from Namche Bazaar. The weather of Lukla cannot forecast so more often the trekking companies include an additional day for Lukla. But you are set out in a proper season you might be lucky to travel out on the same day. Stay overnight in Lukla.

Day 15: Flight to Kathmandu (1,310m) and farewell dinner
In an early morning you will take a flight to Kathmandu taking 35 minutes from Lukla Airport. After we arrive in airport you will be transferred to the hotel where you can enjoy the comfortable bed. In the evening you will return to hotel completing the short sightseeing to take part in farewell dinner. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
